My baby shower was on 19th January. We had lots of fun and games, along with some delicious lunch prepared by mother in law. Got various cute gifts too!!

We have reached 30 weeks milestone my little one!
Well we have come quite far dear! It has been an amazing experience till now apart from some scares early on and i can really say that now i am fully enjoying my pregnancy and might feel a little bad when i lose my cute bump at your birth! You are kicking and punching me quite strongly now. Lately i have been feeling a lot of rib pain on the left side and was wondering that your head is down and your feet are up so when you kick it hurts in my ribs. But the ultrasound last saturday cleared my doubts. You are in a breech position and your feet are all curled up to your head so that everytime you decide to move my pain starts. The doctor told me that you are gonna have a tall baby as the femur length at 29 weeks was already measuring more than 31 weeks! We were already guessing that though! Today i have my OB appointment which will become bi-monthly from now on. Let’s see what doc has to say on your development! You are weighing 1.5 kg (a little over 3 pounds 6 ounces) and at birth you have to be at least twice of this weight or more! So you better be on a weight gain spree dear and come at full term!

Hello little one!
How have you been all this while…your moma has been busy lately. Both of us have been busy lately researching for a cot for you. We went to mothercare www.mothercare.com, a UK brand which has its branches in India as well. They have pretty decent pine wood cribs, cots and cot beds but on the expensive side. Then there is our friendly neighborhood Lifestyle www.lifestylestores.com, which also keeps Cots. They are made of compressed wood, not so sturdy enough but in a reasonable price range. We also discovered another infant furniture shop in south bombay, marine lines, called as Ideal Home www.idealhome.com. They have very sturdy cribs and cots. The wood is high quality teak wood and prices are on the higher side. We were almost finalizing the cot but i on visiting the store the second time i realized that the finishing was not that good. The hinges were visible and there were too many sharp edges for the child to get hurt. Secondly the dirt and dust in their store put me off! They claim to have clients like Bacchans and Ambanis but dont even care to keep their store clean. Hygiene is most important at a place which mostly pregnant women will be visiting. Anyways we said them a polite goodbye. We would bring the cot home in new year now.
