Ohh sooo cute!!!

Hello sweetie pie!! Mommy is back to the blog. We got to spend a lot of time with you today and both me and your dad are overwhelmed. It was a 3 D anomaly scan in a different clinic. But it was worth it, i must say! Every minute of it. We had to wait for more than an hour for our turn but nonetheless we were not complaining. Your father joined me because the appointment was at 9.30 am in the morning and after the scan he planned to leave for his office which was nearby. I had enough breakfast because i thought beforehand that the whole process might take time and you might start feeling hungry and get angry with me. J Drank lots of water also so that your pics are clearly visible.

Okay, so we entered the sonography room and there was an assistant doctor who did the regular 2D scan. Everything appeared normal. I asked her about the placenta and what she told us enlightened both of us. She informed us that the placenta has moved almost 4.5 cms away from the cervix and that is a major achievement baby! We were so happy. She was taking measurements of your head, tummy, feet, leg and hand bones, spine and so on. It was quite interesting to watch.

After the 2D scan got over she informed us that the 3D scan will be done by senior doctor. So we waited a couple of minutes and then began the scan which i can never forget throughout my life! Initially dear baby, you were not at all cooperative. You covered your face with your hand as if to warn us “Do not disturb me guys…” but later you started moving and kicking me. J We saw your feet , hands, fingers, tummy and face. It was awesome. You were gulping the amniotic fluid and once you stroked your eye too!! Your nose seemed like your father’s and even your mouth. The lips were not as big as mine. We are guessing you are a girl but we dont know until you are born! Your weight is 250grams and your height is 10 inches now. Everything is normal. The best part of this ultrasound is that the 3D videos were recorded on a DVD for us. I am on cloud nine because now i can watch you whenever i want on my notebook. Oh yes, i forgot to tell you that your dad has gifted me a tablet PC. I am wondering that when you start writing you it will be your first slate as ot has a pen and slate option too!!

I will soon post your ultrasound pics. This blog is just for your reference when you grow up. We love you baby!!!

Week 18

You have turned eighteen weeks today baby! It’s an awesome feeling for me. My tummy is bulging now. And for past some days you have started moving frantically inside me. It seems like yesterday that I felt your first kick, but now I can feel you more often. When ever I have a meal or am hungry, you start rolling inside me. But you move most when I am of to bed to sleep at night. It is almost half an hour that your gymnastics last and then only I can sleep. I look forward to it everyday now. Though sometimes I want to sleep after being exhausted the whole day but you won’t let me. ;)

Your dad is abroad and will be back in a couple of days, but I am missing him too much now. I know you are also missing him and that is why all these hi-speed movements these days.

I have a confession to make my dear. I have read in books that it is important to think about the baby once in a day and talk to him/her. But your mother can’t stop thinking about you the whole day! I know that your ears are developed now and you are able to recognize voices. I know you must be recognizing mine and your dad’s and even Beetle’s, who I am sure will love you the most. Though he seems a little jealous now. But after you arrive he would the be the one to take care of you. I have also started giving you a daily dose of nursery rhymes which you seem to like as you start moving when you hear them. I think you want to hear them in the morning as these days I just automatically go to Youtube in the morning to make you listen to the nursery rhymes.

I am eagerly waiting for 23 October when I have my 3D and Anomaly ultrasound. We will get to spend a lot of time with you and will also get a video recording of your antics. God bless you for giving us such a joy!!

The placenta moves up!!

Hey baby,

You are going to be seventeen weeks in a couple of days. And I am on the top of the world. I had an ultrasound yesterday after almost five weeks and the placenta has moved up considerably. So I am off complete bed rest now though the doc had asked me to be still careful and take precautions.

You were looking wonderful yesterday. I could see that you have grown up a lot during last month and now looking like a baby. When the sonography started I think you were sleeping but the probe woke you up. Then you happily started kicking me. Your bones are forming now so I could clearly see your spine leg and feet bones. I must say you have big feet. I am sure when you start kicking me more often I will have to deal with a boxer of a baby. Your head is comparatively large as of now. The doctor took measurement of your head, abdomen, spine, femur and so on. You were engulfing the amniotic fluid and your mouth was moving very beautifully. The four chambers of your heart were clearly visible and it was an awesome experience to see you after a long time. You don’t know how many times I thanked God after seeing you safe and sound during the ultrasound. I think the prayers of all my friends and relatives worked. Your father is also on the top of the world now. He is going abroad this weekend and I know you will be missing him. He will be there with you next time around when I would be having an anomaly scan around 22nd October. At that time we will have even more time to spend with you as the scan might last for an hour. The most incredible thing would be that we would be getting a video CD of the ultrasound. Yay!! Then I can watch you whenever I feel low. I love you my baby.
